Hide / Remove logo from Footer

I cannot hide the default Demo logo from the footer section. Im being forced to add an image file or this “Acme Corp” demo logo will keep showing.

We need a way to hide this from the control panel. We had to create a blank transparent png file to bypass this restriction.
